Planned this one for awhile, 8 days Tuna fishing in Tuna Town! Fished first two days with MFG,Capt.Wade Wells. Another trip and new pattern. Chasing Shrimp Boats, what a blast, constant action. First thing is to pull up behind Shrimp boat and buy 4 50lb bags of by catch for three beers. Start chumming at stern and pull school away from Trawler. Feeding swarms of Bonita, next up 25/30lb Black fins and where there are Black fins, the BIG Yellow fins crash the school and kill pitch baits 10’ from the boat! Saw every fish we caught. Also Capt got 100lbs of 10/12ct Shrimp from a trawler for a six pack of Bud Lite left aboard by the previous charter! Fish averaged 80lbs and our biggest was 115!
After two days the storm had us headed back to Chas. Disappointed after a 900mile ride one way,but it is what it is. Pepe and Marvin stayed behind for one more day and crushed them. 12 Tuna on a day when all the offshore Capts cancelled due to weather. If you are used to fishing out of Chucktown, the Gulf is like lake fishing.
Going back next Sat night for three days and may have room for one, PM me if interested.About$150 a day all in.
