Went out solo yesterday …left dock 6am and hit spot 2 min from ramp and landed 2 fish in the dark 22 and 29 inches on first 2 drops with crab chunk…headed up to spot where saw lot fish other day and couldnt connect and got set up early before low tide and was lucky to get some mullet on the way…perfect bait size…took 4 throws before finally got on dozen or so. set up an waited 60 minutes and saw some fishn making way into creek… hooked up to nice 17 inch red on live mullet…and second rod goes off …on live mullet 19 inches. next hour half nada…crab chunks didnt get a touch… Think the fight i had with second fish spooked a lot fish out of creek. Funny how didnt see many fish today but caught and other day saw 100s and couldnt get a touch. Guess live mullet were the ticket. Did get 2 more prob in slot when i headed back to ramp at local dock on live mullet. All fish released to fight another day. Perfect conditions…crystal clear water…no wind til late in day. 1 nice 16 inch trout also on mullet…didnt even know he was hooked reeling up to leave spot and fish went crazy…good jumping show and danced on top of water, Another great day. thanks to my wife giving me second long day on water in 3 days.
