Biggest trout I ever caught in a small creek by my house
They are way up in the small creeks now. We have been killing them, as far up a creek as you can get. My buddy caught one 8 1/2lb yesterday and he was so far up the river it was almost in fresh water.

I agree,caught probably close to 30 last few days. Kept a few for my son who is away at Clemson and misses fishing and eating a few. Good times , good luck

Nice fish!!! When you say “as far up a creek”…what depth are you talking about? I have only caught redfish at the back of creeks in shallow water. Are you talking high tide?
8 1/2 lbs? what’s the trident at right now I know that would win it most years.

It’s a hole about 5ft deep at lowest tide… Best 2 hours before low
An 8 1/2 pound trout is around 29"-30" long generally…

Last trout I weighed for the trident went 7 lbs 12 oz at 29 inches.
