bad day on little saluda

I took striper tom up to the little river to show him how we crappie fish. first thing that happened is I pinched the transducer on my 587cd hi di in two when it got in a bind around the trolling motor. still had another f/finder so we started. that front had to knock them off. nobody was boating any fish. we only ended up with 5 but still had a good morning. if anybody has a hook up or and extra transducer for my humminbird at a reasonable price i sure would appreciate it. thanks. my number 803 331-8873

Man hate to hear that. I go on THT(thehulltruth) quite regular, will keep my eyes open.

Kevin Morse (Midland’s Outdoors)can get you a transducer at a reasonable price. Call him at 924-3285.

I have spliced the wires on a Lowrance transducer and it worked fine. Before you buy a new one, might want to try splicing the wires. The trick is to wrap the splices with aluminum foil to connect the severed shield that covers the wires. Then wrap everything in electrical tape. It’s a little tricky because the wires are so thin but if you take your time it can be done. Worth a try before coming off the hip for $100…
