If NOAA says it, it must be true.

Will that stop you from eating grouper and snapper?

Not bad news. Just more BS and climate crap. There has been no measurable warming in 18+ years. The PC climate alarmists use terms like - probable, likely, could, ---- just like the SAFMC!

Screw em

You guys are funny. No measurable warming in 18+ years. In 18+ years I have never surfed here in a spring suit in late Dec. But certainly no noticeable warming at all.

When its warm here its cold elsewhere. Local climate is very different from global. Have another glass of kool aide.

I’d venture to say if you look back at historical data, you would a cyclical affect. Sometimes it’s warmer than other years and sometimes it’s colder than other years.

In the future, where every stranger poses a potential threat, knowing the predator mindset is the only safe haven.

Ha ha! Well played 7cs...

I bet them der fish got that Mercury junk too… I do declare

The Earth is flat and the sun relvolves around it. Climate change is a myth.

No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.

I love how “climate change” use to be called “global warming” but that tied them down to warming trends and wasn’t vague enough…hence “climate change.”

No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

There has been severe changes in the weather and atmosphere we are just to small with to little understanding to feel or know the cause and effect. We have less than a few hundred years of semi accurate weather data that we are trying to decipher changes and patterns from, this alone is part of the problem. People who are 80 get cancers from exposure to things in there 20s now think how old the earth is how long planets last based on historical data and think how long we’ve had to impact it, most changes should barely be noticeable if at all. There are theories that with or with out our negative impact that the earth was/is cyclically going to change, all planets do, we just hit the accelerator a bit. Gigantic storms and natural disasters aren’t natural everything has a cause and effect even if it goes unseen and unproven, on a macro-enviromental scale there has been a rise in these disaster, it could be cyclically coincidence of patterns or proof of climate change/global warming. Facts, the ocean is rising, the polar caps are shrinking and many places with extreme climates have had unprecedented and unpredictable climate changes, which was quoted as being the first to show the impact of global warming.

Well the red tide in the Gulf ain’t no joke. They scooped up 15k dead drum, trout, etc down in Bay St.Louis Mississippi when I was down over Christmas.

If we pay a big carbon tax, and buy Al Gores carbon credits will it save us??
The climate scientists who’s ship was iced in and stuck for months at the southern pole in the Antarctic summer have been very quiet.

Global climate changes. Always has, always will. Man may have some effect on it but the answer is not the elimination of carbon based fuels. That would cause the loss of billions of lives across the globe, except for the rich and politically connected like AL Gore. The answer will come in new technologies. When a man riding in limos, flying around in a private jet, and living in a 14,000 square foot home tells me my full size pickup is the problem, he can plant a kiss where the sun don’t shine.

People in Chicago and NYC were wearing flip flops last month. Are they local ?

I’ve read both sides of the argument and if you can’t see the amount chap we are putting into the atmosphere is accelerating natural patterns then you have your head in the sand. Look at the smog in India and China man.

You should a have another glass of everything is a conspiracy theory and they are out to get us bottle.

When its warm in Chicago, its cold somewhere else. Look - theres not a conspiracy where they have monthly meetings and plan, (unless your on the Gore payroll) but if your a scientist at a big lefty university and your giving the wrong answers , your out of a job. If your a NOAA scientist and you find that the fish are over protected and not saying what the powers want to hear, the have and will find someone that will tell them what they want to hear. I happen to believe that God is still in charge. Were really quite insignificant in the world scheme. Drive a boat across the ocean some time and you will see.

My opinion

“We have less than a few hundred years of semi accurate weather data that we are trying to decipher changes and patterns from, this alone is part of the problem.”

40 Inch reds - going to have to respectfully disagree. By studying ice cores we can go back 1000’s of years to understand global climate. I however could not agree more that weather patterns obviously change.

“My Opinion” - Nature Boy

Your opinion is exactly the issue here, where you ignore scientific fact for a view point that lacks scientific credibility. I don’t see this as a left or right winged issue. I think the scientific community as reached a consensus here. It’s up to y’all to come around. Furthermore, I am not advocating ridding ourselves of fossil fuels. How the hell I am going to power my twin 150s. But I think it makes sense in so much as there is no need to be handing over money to SCEG who pollute our planet in the name of complacency when an abundance of free power descends upon us in the form of free solar electricity, tidal flow, and wind rather than burn coal which as you know affects everyone of us in the form of bioaccumulation of mercury in our fish and is only getting worse with 100s of coal power plants coming online every day in China. Frankly I don’t understand the aversion to clean energy. If we would all just embrace it as a country and get out in front of the curve of adoption - it would usher in a new generation of jobs and re-establish American manufacturing and technology dominance obsoleting OPEC countries. I don’t see that obsoleting fossil fuels. They will still run our toys. Meh - maybe let the wife drive an electric car, but frankly I like my V8.

the aversion to clean energy is coming from the deep pockets for oil companies shelling out dollhairs to the powers that be to keep clean energy down…

heres a thought though, please consider…an electric car is charged from electricity at a house or charging station right??..so this means somewhere a power plant is burning coal to produce the energy that is going into the car…if you have studied electricity you would know that over many miles of power lines that a fair amount of energy is lost…So in charging said electric car you have burned coal and wasted some coal getting that energy to the house… wouldnt it be more efficient to burn gas straight to the power source being your V6,8 what have you.
i dont see it being reasonable to charge a car from a few solar panels
