Went up to Va. Beach for a fishing trip with my girls dad and my brother who just got back from Iraq. Day started off slow with a few peanuts, then found a sulfur ash line. I was in the tower and watched two dolphin swim in and attack the teaser really cool sight. Then I see some color in the water and come to find out it is probably 50+ dolphin in a school!!! It was crazy for the next hour it was a insane, they just kept coming. The back of the boat looked like a murder scene!! Ended up catching around 60, all in the 5-8lb range. Kept 30 of the bigger ones (there were six on the boat) and released the rest. It was the craziest thing I had ever seen, I didnt know that it was possible to catch or see that many dolphin together. Brother had a blast!!! Also missed a big tuna, saw a white, and watched a sun fish get air born. AWESOME day on the water!!! Glad my brother was there to catch some!!! Thanks to all the troops for what yall are doing!!
Cool stuff. I was in Nags Head a few weeks ago and that was the first time I have ever seen sulfer lines. Looks like somebody dumped the head’s holding tank. We found a 4x4 post loaded with dolphin. Did the same as you and caught until we were tired of it. We had a 9 year old on board and as soon as he would land one I would hand him a rod with a hooked fish.

We had a day like that at the scarp in May, only difference was the average was prolly over 10 pounds, with a bunch of twenties thrown in there.
