Bait in the creeks

Anyone else notice that bait seems to be scarce ? Found almost no shrimp and very few mullet today.

Plenty of 4in mullet and menhaden in Cooper near bushy.Not many shrimp on Tuesday.Where were you?

Horlbeck and Boone Hall creeks off the Wando
Kind of early for the shrimp to be scarce.

I agree.Maybe freshwater could still be affecting it?Can you still hear the cows at the end of Horlbeck?Been a while since I fished up there.

Fished behind folly and bait was scarce yesterday. Fished the wando and it was full of life

I’ve been finding huge schools of horse mullet and good amounts of shrimp. Not a lot of finger mullet though. Last weekend I made bait in one cast.

Got out Saturday and threw the bait net in a creek off the upper Wando. This particular spot usually produces pretty well for shrimp but only managed about 3-4 dozen and that took some effort. Didn’t get to try any other spots but was surprised they were scarce in this spot.

Last I checked they were here over the weekend! Floating net close to the Ben Sawyer.

Can’t say I’ve seen a lot of shrimp but the Wando and Cooper, at least in the spots we’ve been fishing, have tons of mullet (from finger to horse) and menhaden right now and have for the past several weeks.
