Was thinking about heading down from Spartanburg and fishing the west side of Murray on Sunday. Ive never put in up there and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for bait (tips are also appreciated). Thanks for the help.

Riverwinds on Big Saluda and Big Man’s at the Little Saluda will have large shiners. You will need to check out George’s on Macedonia Church Road for herring. Shiners will work fine right now.

Ended up picking up some shiners at Riverwinds. Nothing going for most of the morning and early afternoon downriver but picked up a nice 8lb’er around the intersection of little saluda and the saluda plus a micro farther up the saluda. Water was cleaner in the Saluda.
