For you guys lucky enough to have a dock on water this will help you.I put two plastic drums off the dock for shrimp and mullet and minnows.Problem is the barnacles and snail eggs soon plug up the holes in the barrels.In the past I had to get help to pull up the drums and then scrape off all the goop.Borrowed an idea from Ed that makes it a one man job.Now i just pull on the rope and with no effort the barrel is out of the water and on the float or deck.Then with my $80 electric pressure washer the job takes about 15 minutes and the barrels are back in the water to be refilled with fresh bait.the mounts are 4 alum 2 inch L shaped brackets.Two go on the barrel.Then two more are mounted to the fixed deck or float.Then you join the brackets with a ss bolt.The barrel brackets pivot and after you mount a pulling rope half way down the back side of the barrel you just pull the rope and up comes the barrel.I will post pics as soon as i figure how to do it.Remember i do share bait so do not be greedy.

This should help you.The blue drum was already bent so I just used it as is.Round would be perfect.
There is a heavy rope coming out of the back of the drum about half way down.I just cut a hole and put a gal big washer on the rope and tied a knot.Pull the rope and the drum comes right up and it is very easy to do.

Alum brackets for the second pen was $38 plus tax at Lowes.Used a big new garbage can with top for this one.Will use this pen for finger mullet.Have to adjust it for the water level.Will post pics later today.

I had a similar setup, but I had to put a lid on it to keep the herons and minks from eating all the bait.
I have otters.I put tops on the pens also.One time i had about 40 fingers in the pen.Came down to get some and all i could pull up was about 6.I thought the boys had gotten greedy and cleaned me out .I was pissed.Then i looked in the boat and it was full of crap and mullet heads and scales.Put a top on the pen and no problems.
