Bait shop near sunset

I am going to sunset beach at end if week and was curious as to where a bait shop was that carried fiddlers. Was told best bet for landing would be under new bridge. Also what is biting now. Not looking for secrets just never fished out of there.

I just googled bait shops and found this one.
Island Tackle
6855 Beach Dr
Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469
(910) 579-6116

Not sure which direction your are coming in from and I have no idea what they carry.

Some of the other guys can chime in here, but the only live bait that most of the bait shops around the Little River carry is mud minnows. I will be interested to see what you find. Let us know.

Best of my knowledge no one sells fiddlers from Ocean isle all the way to north myrtle. Very easy to catch at low tide though.

Shaw, it’s been tough with the dirty water. As far as fiddlers, just go out and look for them at low tide. The only place I know of that sells them up this way is down in Murrells Inlet. Plus, it’s fun to catch those fiddlers, especially with the kids. If you’re looking for sheephead, barnacles work better most times. Just scrape a bunch off of any piling and use for bait and chum. The flounder should be stacking up off the beach near the 3 mile and other reefs and structure if you can get out. I haven’t been, but in years past, there was always better flattie fishing near structure out in the deeper water. Just cast away from the reef and drag back to it. You’ll get your share of little sea bass as well. Good luck, man!!!
