Bait tank pump?

Greetings, everyone. I hope that all have been well. After several years of dealing with life issues it’s time to resurrect the boat and take the grands fishing. I have discovered that the Rule 500GPH bilge pump used in the Ron Vest tanks has been redesigned rendering it incompatible with the keep-alive aerator base. Has anyone had success with chinese knockoffs that seem to have copied the 25D? Or, is there a better alternative to using the keep-alive base? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Take care, Jim

I have found the older style on Amazon, but it has been hit/miss to get it shipped to my house from Opalacka Florida … LOL

That’s why I switched to this supplier … I got two of the old style from him in January … Amazon Shipper …

Thanks, Rick. I’ll give them a try.

Good to hear from you Jim! Glad you’re going to be wetting hooks again!

Well, I received the rule pump from Grady’s and it the new style, therefore, unusable. Just a heads up. I did purchase a shoreline 600 from wally world and it fits the keep-alive base, have not tested, yet.

I wonder if the guts are the same … I may try taking one of my old pumps apart and seeing if I can change the housing … That’s why I always preferred the cartridge style Rules - they are just plug and play …
