What’s the word. Is everyone expected to have bait this sat? I was the first in line for an empty tank after Richy got the last few this past sat. Had to run all the way back into lex to get bait. Want to be prepared this weekend…was there really that many people fishing sat or did someone swipe davids bait…

Hey Chip,
Just talked with David and he plans on having plenty of bait. He has 100 Dozen in his tanks now and plans to go out tomorrow, thurs and fri. He said he would let me know if he sees a problem.

He told me that it didn’t dawn on him until he got on the road with a full boat to make deliveries that it was week before the tx with a great deal of people practicing.
We’re all human, but you can certainly count on David 99.99% of the time. Who wouldn’t take that for a winning percentage? He’s the most dependable baitman around in my opinion.
If I had known Chip that you didn’t have bait, I would have flagged you down. I thought you may have beat me there. David did come to the gas station and bait up a couple of us.

I thought it was weird seeing you sitting at the gas station. David is a top notch bait man i will say that. Thats why I thought it was strange to be out. We are very lucky to have him in the area. I hear they are having trouble upstate getting bait but think thats mainly cause they are picky and are wanting big gizzards.
Almost done with the house tank. Just have to build a filter bucket and plumb the water chiller and circulation pump. After that i may tank a trip to wateree or upstate for big gizzards to have at the house.
Looks to be a windy Saturday coming and with all this rain it may be a tough day. Good luck to all.

David has had some real nice bait lately too. It seems like there are usually a lot of small baits mixed in this time of year. But the last few weeks he has had all big herring.
Wellcraft V-20 sportfish with a 200 Evinrude
