Tomorrow and Saturday morning on the south side of the Big Pool, is there a place to get bait directly from the boat? Also, does anyone know if George is still doing that from the Dreher State Park ramp?
George does not go to dreher island anymore but he does sell it at his shop on macedonia church road

OK, thanks. I frequent his Bait House but I’m trying to avoid getting in the truck and instead do it all from the boat if possible. Maybe a better question: is there anywhere that you can buy bait directly from the boat ANYWHERE on the lake anymore?
I think David was at the ramp this morning at the dam. But a the last msc meeting David said if you called him he would meet you at Larry koon

George was at Dreher Island State Park last Saturday and Sunday mornings. I got bait from him both days. I have never had him say “no” to meeting me at the park, if he has bait.
Give him a call, a day ahead of when you want bait.

Though I’ve always gotten my bait from George, 99% of the time it has been at the bait house- normally from his wife.
I’ll be coming from the Little Saluda up to the Big Pool so unless David happens to be at Larry Koon, I’m guessing George at Dreher will be my best bet. I’ll call him. Thanks guys.

Sorry about the bad info on george coming to DI. Bet I have put in at least 50 times this summer and had not seen him there. Which ramp does he go to when he is down there mabye I missed seeing him.

George, almost always goes to the ramp at the Marina/Gas Dock. He normally ties to the gas dock, if it is not super busy. If busy, he pulls away from the dock and throws an anchor out.
