Anyplace to get bait on the chapin side without going to the dam ? Hate going from bear creek to the dam to get bait and then go back past bear creek to get up lake. The two places I could drive to are not selling herring. PDQ man had his equipment stolen !

He is at Dreher island some in the mornings but he did not have any bait this morning at his shop either. I ended driving to the dam to get bait so I just put in at the dam and fished the balentine area. It was not really where I wanted to fish but since I was there I went for it. The guys in prosperity and around the dam seem to be having trouble catching bait. I don’t know if it is the full moon or what?

Lake World could not give me a answer as for in the morning. They were going out tonight and may have some in the morning. If George gets some he will be open at 5:45 but nobody will know until in the morning. 34 bait and tackle don’t have anything either. When I saw the bait situation this morning I bought 7 dozen so I have enough to fish tomarrow. If you find bait and plan to fish the next couple days you better buy all you can.

Think the big moon we have had this week put a hurting on the bait catching. Went by Neds Fri morning to pick up bait to take to the hill and he only had about 30dz and that was what he caught thurs night. Guess it got a little better fri/sat nights.
Mean while gizzards are in full spawn. This is a great time to get out there and learn some areas to catch them…The banks are full of these. Little Big for Murray…lol…but great for chasing those 50# fish like the one caught sat at the hill
I know yall that love to cut would love this size for pulling the gizzard out and using it for bait and rest for chum.
