There is plenty of bait in The Mighty Cooper River! Literally everything… haden, mm, mullet, shrimp, fiddlers, the works…easiest to find when the water isn’t in the grass but can be found at any tides…hope this helps, good luck!

I was in Shem at low tide 9 days ago and I was surprised at how few mullet I saw. Nothing pushing on the surface.
