Still shrimp in the creeks?
As of this past Saturday there was plenty of shrimp and finger mullet still around. Not sure what this cooler weather during the week has done.
If you know where to go there is always mullet year round, the shrimp start to then out usually around this time but we had a warm year so I could see them being easy to catch until the new year if we don’t get any really cold periods. I threw the net a week ago and it was like it was august or September the amount of bait I caught.
Also still seeing a ton of bait in the surf, it is for sure later then usual to see the amount of bait I’ve been seeing.
Bait was hard to find. Found just a couple of shrimp & some big mullet. Trout & reds bit around noon for me.
Threw the net this week and the shrimp were scarce after being plentiful during the warmer weather. Usually happens this time of year. Was in the Folly River, guess just depends on where your at.
