I neither admit nor deny the allegation …

I do happen to now have a completely rebuilt G&M 50 gallon bait tank …

New seals, latches, lights, wiring, and upgraded filter compartment …

Now if only I can figure out how to install a drain …

… it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish !!!

Just drop a spare pump down in there with enough hose to reach outside the boat. That’s what I’m planning to do. Emptying a bait tank with a bucket got old real quick.

Yeah, I have an old Rule pump hooked up to a hose … another thing I think you can do is simply bring a hose on the outlet of the tank pump and drop it over the side and use the tank pump to push out the water …

but I like the drain on the Graylines … When I’m done for the day I pull the plug at the ramp and let it all drain out so when I get home all I have to do it pull the tank off the boat to clean it …

The SBII style tanks are such that you have to pump them out … I think I know a way, but I am super reluctant to drill a hole in a perfectly good tank … LOL

Do not drill a hole rick. It may look like it seals but water can get inbetween the inner wall and outer wall. Coreys 20 SBII leaks somewhere and it’s twice as heavy as any other 50gal.

The danco in your tank had threads on the inside. Screw a 1/2" or maybe 3/4 nipped into it and hook a pipe to it if u want to use the tank lump. I just pump it out with an extra pump I keep on the boat.

What about popping a hole on the filter side where there is only a single wall? That will allow for 95% of the water to drain out while only drilling through the outer wall of the tank …

Man I’m glad I am a feather and fur kinda guy:wink:

“Living’s mostly wasting time and I’ll waste my share of mine”

I am glad I am a bait guy…and deep down inside I am sure u are glad some of your friends are bait guys loon…lol…

And i think I can quote a fur/feather guy I had on the boat last year…he said sometimes you just can beat a big fish slamming a big bait and watching the rod double over with the drag screaming…:stuck_out_tongue:

My current problem is do I use the 10-14" gizzard pattern or the 10-14" herring pattern.

I agree 100% my brother, nothing like it. I need to bring LL Cool J over and let him look at the baits.

Impressive

I had a 30 gallon G&M and I learned real quick that the “filter” wasn’t worth leaving in there. It was more of a pain than it was worth. Walmart has a white hose for bilge pumps and that’s what I used to pump mine out. Just hang it over the side of the boat. I now have the Super Bait Tank II but haven’t put it in action yet.

Harbor freight has an awsome pump 1000 gph for $17.00! get a dishwasher hose at Lowes for $11.00 and it will pump out a 50 gal tank in a jiffy and you can use it for filing your tank and a wash down and a back up sump pump! I run mine off the same lawn mower battery that I use for my bait tank pump.
