Heading to Bald Head for a long weekend and hoping to do a little fly fishing. I’ve read about fishing from the beach with clousers and sand flea imitations with an intermediate line-which I don’t have. Thinking 9’ flouro leader to get the flies down. And there’s no boat. Looks like there are some places to wade on the back side by the marina and WAY on the other side of the island but I think that part is a private section. Anyone have ideas??? I’ll post pictures with girls in bikinis with any fish I catch!!!
If you don’t have an intermediate line look at a sink tip you can attach like a leader… this will basically turn your WFF line into a pretty good surf line that won;t get washed around by the waves…

I am heading up there next weekend June 8th. I have fished there frequently with a great guy Captain Seth Vernon. He is probably full but if available he can put you on them.
If I were you I would rent a Kayak and take it up Baldhead Creek on the back side of the island. Flats are super and easy to get to by Kayak. Talk to theKayak rental service people, they can direct you to the fishing spots You can also take the golf cart to the other side of the island and follow the flats, you will see tailers from the road.
