2002, we were fighting a double on YFT’s, I look up and my old man walks out of the salon eating a banana, the first one he ate running through the jetties earlier that morning.

Bananas are an excuse for sorry fisher people, and captains shouldn’t try and throw them over, quick way to not get a tip or chartered again.

Bananas are excellent choice for those that might get sea sick; they taste the same coming up as they do going down. :slight_smile:

In this heat, bananas are a very good source of potassium, and I’ve never found them to be bad luck. And that’s a dang fine redfish there :sunglasses:

I love bananas. I have at least a dozen banana trees in my backyard. This year they are growing bananas actually

That being said, i won’t willingly bring bananas on a boat. Guess i’m a sorry fisherman then :smiley:. I’m not too fond of glass bottles on boats either. My mother in law was once bold enough to bring banana chips, and banana bread beer in glass bottles once. Needless to say, the batteries died that day. Can’t argue with the facts folks, bananas are bad news on boats :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m too superstitious. That means no bananas, banana bread, banana peppers on your sub, Banana Boat sun block., banana hammocks…etc. etc. on my boat.
