I was fishing near someone who was banging the bottom of his boat…NONSTOP !!!..I have heard of people doing this,and on occasion I think maybe it would cause a knee-jerk reaction …what do ya’ll think ?

murray if you don’t ever believe another thing i post.belive me it works.i thought it was stupid the first time i heard of it.you can anchor and watch the fishfinder.you will see the fish coming.
the fish were there(a lot)…me and two other boats…and not one bite !
Do you think it works as an attractant ? (there was no need to attract)…I thought they were trying to triger a strike on thier bait ?

murray to me it works both was.i have beenon top of fish and no bites.star beating and the bites start.it’s what works for you personally.a broken pool stick works great.the end with the rubber is the end to bang with.

murray i don’t try to beat the bottom of the boat out.i also drive nails for a living.we have been mostly doing metal roofs for the past 2 years.i try to get a rythem going.it also works on the perch and catfish.

i don’t know.i don’t have one on my boat.when you catch fish like i do you don’t ned to listen to anyone else.just kidding i need to get one maybe the wife boss will buy it for me.i don’t even have my gps hooked up on my fish finder.
i’ve seen it work. bite was slow, dude i was with started some rhythm, about 10 minutes later he landed his personal best.
I had a sales rep take me with a guide last year on Clarks Hill and he did that and it worked, damndest thing I ever saw.
I had hear of this but never tried it and you could see the fish on the FF and when he stared tapping the bottom you could see them come up and hit the baits. All were small fish and we were fishing down lines.
He used a cue stick and had a rubber mat in the bottom of the boat and just a slow steady thump

I was the dude with phishinphan and I think it works. I use a 2x4 on the bottom of the boat. I saw a guy doing it while he was cut bait fishing. He was catching fish every five minutes. I have heard that it sounds like a school of striper feeding on shad.
i don’t think it would work in my jon boat tho… dunno… maybe it will.
