Anyone betting on a pullback in the banking sector by next Friday?

If we don’t get any “new” negative news next week, I think they will go higher. Unless of course, the overall market pulls back, then they will follow suit. In short, I think they will move higher next week. We both have a 50/50 shot at being right!

It looks like the government made concessions (at the request of bank management) on the amount of capital needed by banks. The drop in volatility killed the premium on my puts last Friday. We’ll see if I get it back today.

Man, I hope they drop like a rock! I grabbed some FAZ a little early and have been sitting on it waiting for a turn in the market. Also, I’ve been wanting to buy some BMO, but I want a better price. I should have bought it when I first discovered it, but I can’t buy it now that it’s up so much since I found out about it.

Got out of puts this morning for a 75% return in 3 days.
