Basic I-Pilot Remote

Any of you guys local to Irmo/Chapin/Lex have one I can borrow this evening?

Went out last evening and never could get my remote to come on even though I did get a beep at the head when power was connected to the motor. Fairly new battery, but it still could be bad or just need re-seating, but I’d like to have another one on hand to try in case that’s not it when I check it out this evening. I did a job on the round battery cover trying to get it loose on the boat without having a large screw driver and couldn’t even at least re-seat it out there.

As for the fishing… Went 3 for 5 on a BP Spoon between 7pm-9pm. Smaller legit keeper sized fish in 65-85 fow.

Funny you say that. After totally destroying the slot in my battery cover by using a small flathead screwdriver and then the blade of a pocket knife, I was finally able to get it off tonight at the house.

I then decided to call Mark at the Crappie Hole and asked if he had any plastic remote battery covers and his first question was, “do you need the one that is held in by screws or do you have the slotted one you remove with a quarter?” Felt like a dumbazz. LOL

I borrowed Rick’s, but got mine going by just re-seating the battery and spraying contact cleaner on the contacts.

I keep a quarter in the corner of my boat by the steering wheel just for the sole purpose of removing the battery in the remote…lol…had to get on the kiddos a couple of times when they try to put it in their pocket…
