talked to this guy today at west dike, he said he was fishing a tournement. i was just wanderein what tourny it was. he said the weigh in was at cypress gardens anyone know?
Im pretty sure it was the Goose Creek Bass Club. I was taking the boat out of the water at Cypress Gardens as the weigh-in started up. I think the winner had ~27lbs with a 5 fish limit. There was a lot of bass caught yesterday in that Tourny
the guy i talked to. had his son with him and said he caught 4 and his son caught 2. said he had a couple of nice ones.

So, they were allowed to trailer their boats to the lake and then back to the weigh in?

New to fishing…looking at doing catfish tour. for fun. Regulations state “no trailering”. what does that mean?

Most tournaments of any kind are “no trailering” tourneys, meaning that you launch from whatever ramp the tournament is out of, and weigh in there.
“Trailer tournaments” allow you to tow your boat from a specific area to wherever you want to put in, and return to weigh in at a specific place.
Some of the guys at worked fished a tourn out of Cypress Gardens last Thursday. I’ve been told take they do this every thursday from 5:30 PM to 8:30. Buy in is 25.00 each with a two man team but don’t hold me to that. They blast off from that landing and return to that landing.
How come those on the bank want to fish in the middle and those in the boat want to fish by the bank?? Hum!
You are correct.
Excuses? I’ve heard them all!
lizard that info was correct last thurs. there were 49 boats that fished the working man tourney. They paid out 9 places it is $40.00 for the tournement and $10.00 for big fish(optional)you can have 2 people in the boat and you weigh 5 fish, reg. starts at 4:30 with weigh in at 8:30.The tourney is alot of fun I fished last thurs and plan to fish several more of them.If you look up cooperriverbassmasters.com on the net they have the results from the last two weeks plus a calender of most of the tournements to be fished in the area.
