Taking some kids fishing this weekend, anyone know where the largemouth are right now? And also what they are catching em on? Any info will help, Thanks!

Haven’t been out on Murray in 12 days. They bass bit good for us the last time out on rocky points and secondary points mostly between 4’ and 12’ deep. Carolina rigs with green pumpkin trickworms were the only largemouth baits we tried. Watch for schooling fish and be ready with topwaters, flukes or crankbaits. Try spoons on the bottom when they quit schooling on top. All of the largemouth schooling action I’ve seen has been on points atleast 30 yards off shore.
If the kids aren’t in a tournament then why not get some small spoons or minnows and let them have fun catching white perch? Just look for fish on, or very near, the bottom between 20’ and 45’ deep and drop the baits down to them. They are fun to catch, there’s no limit on them, and they’re very good to eat.
