Bassholes

A late report, but I thought this forum needed some new blood. Toothless called me two Fridays ago and managed to pull me away from the office with an invite to chase some bass. A short drive later I pulled into his driveway and in a flash the canoe was in the bed of my truck. Soon we were on the water hurling bugs around brush in search of some bucketmouths. And while we did not find any that looked like a toaster oven with eyes, we did land 7 fish in approximately 45 minutes. Good times. Pics distorted to spare the ego of each fish:smiley:.

Good work, Chad. What flies were you guys throwing?

I’ve had good luck with the big mouths on gurgler flies, but have yet to catch one with a subsurface fly.

I fish up near clemson and almost always use subsurface flies. Black marabou clouser is the ticket up here.

caught some giants in Hartwell on dahlbergs, this is time of year to use em nuthin more fun!, well except a red bustin a dahlberg

we got those fish on a purple bunny bugger- probably a 4. small dumbell eyes.

Fun Times
