My boat has a system of 24 volt trolling motor and 12 volt cranking. Typical.
What do you guys use?
I looked into 24 volt trickle and found some unexpectedly high prices.
So I had the grand idea of putting a blade switch in the battery jumper and bring post leads out and connect them in parallel. Use one trickle on the ignition and one on the trolling set.
Onboard charger. $100 give or take $20. Takes about 30 minutes to install depending where you put it.
I like the guest chargers myself. They’ve had good reviews. I’ve had mine over a year and it’s been soaked multiple times(under front deck). I’ve since relocated the batteries and charger under the console.
edit to add: the 3 bank chargers are significantly more expensive. Infact, almost twice the price. I never need to charge my main batteries since I get out a lot. But if I do, I just use a regular charger or run the boat in the yard. Or you could buy two onboard chargers.
