Battery Question (Not Boat)

I recently bought 2 small handheld lights (Fantasea Nano Spotters) that has 5 LED lights in the head and uses 4 AAA batteries. The instructions specifically say not to use rechargeable batteries. Can someone tell me why they say not to use rechargeable batteries?

Thanks

I think rechargeables are 1.2. Alkalines are 1.5 volts. You wouldn’t get max brightness.

agree w/ 7cs. since they’re LED, might not turn on at all

Well there you go. Thanks, I had no idea they were not the same voltage. Just figured being AAA they were.
