The Pioneer guys are supposedly coming out with a Bulls Bay 22’. If its anything like the 20’ I’d look into it.
I would for sure check out some other boats. Honestly, I would not get a Seafox if i could get something else. Check out seachaser by carolina skiff, sea pro/sea boss, key west, blue wave, and parker. I like that parker 23 T Big Bay and that blue wave 24 pure bay. Not sure what his budget is, but Pathfinder,Ranger, and Shearwater boats are awesome boats just cost more than some.
I have the 2012 Sea Fox 220 XT Bay Boat and absolutely lover it. I have owned many brands over the years and this is by far my favorite. I would definitely look at the SF 240 XT. Fantastic boat. The New Sea Fox is a total departure from the past. If you would like to check out my boat or go for a ride, please feel free to contact me anytime.
I have been fishing the last couple of weekends and tearing up the trout. Around 30 a day.

I would check out Tidewater Bay Boats. Jimmy Metts makes a great boat. I am 6’5 300# and it has more room in this boat than i have ever seen. He is comming out very soon with a 22 foot bay that is similar to the new 20 bay . He also makes a 24ft bay that is phenomenal. All His boats are priced reasonable. Cape Romain Marine in McClellanville carries all of the tide water models. check them out www.caperomainmarine.com

We just got a new Aegis 24’ at work and having been out on the Bay in less than favorable conditions I would have to say it is worth a look. Aegis is located down near Lumberton NC so it wouldn’t be to far out of the way to go by and see them.
I have a Sailfish 2100 bay boat that I need to sell, If anyone is interested, I will make you a great deal, In classifieds

My next door neighbor has been buying them since we have been in the neighborhood (10 years) and fishes them hard. I believe he’s been through three of them. He seems to love them, and he’s a huge fisher so I’d imagine they are great boats.

Going through 3 boats in 10 years sounds like astonishing turnover, to me. I’d expect a well designed and constructed hull to last decades. Old whalers, McKees, and Grady’s are still going strong. But,… that’s just me. I run a 1988 Henry O. 'Sometimes wish it would give me a reason to buy something new. But, she just keeps on doing what she’s supposed to. I expect to repower her sometime and keep on keeping on.
To the OP, any boat builder worth owning will tell you their building techniques. If it is not fully hand laid. Next. If it contains structural wood. Next. If it is not fully closed-cell foam filled. Next. If you’re going to spend tens of thousands of dollars, I’d do the home work.

23 or 24 foot scouts the ones with the blue hull not sure the model but cant go wrong with a scout or even a pioneer.
