Bay scout 201's

Im just trying to figue out how many people own one and are you having a lot of small issues with them? I’ve had mine a year and I have had nothing but issues so I’m trading it in for a different boat. If it is just a lemon then I might get another one. If not, a different brand.

Thanks in advance for any inputs.

I had one (2008). I had problems keeping the live well and bilge pumps working. The electrical wiring up under the console looked like a bird nest. The boat ran well and handled great. Good fit and finish…sold it last year when I deployed.

Bilge switch and live well switch have gone bad over the last 3 weeks. Float in fuel tank has worked about 30 days over the last year. Have had 4 air voids and now have cracks in the floor. Had the trolling motor plug rust out once and the second is well on its way to doing the same. Lastly one of my bin latches keeps messing up where u can secure it. Just sick of the issues on a 2011 model scout.

have you contacted scout directly, or just going through your dealer?
scout is pretty great about standing behind there product?

First thing I’d do if I were to keep that boat is to have all the wiring redone and the those rocker switches replaced with waterproof toggle switches. I had no problem with the fit/finish of the boat and I loved the way it handled. Sorry about your problems. I wish Scout would improve thier electrical systems. Maybe they have…I can only speak for my 2008 that I had.
