Even those bumper boats were longer than they were wide. A round boat? Uh-huh. Maybe in a pond. I have fished off a tractor inner tube with a sheet of plywood across it though

We had round bumper boats at the local flea market when I was a kid. I always thought about using one to fish.
The motor was in the Merle and steering was remarkably unpredictable.
