Got a leaking bleeder vavle on my Johnson 150.(HC4658H) Cracked somehow? Came in from last trip with no known problems. Took to lake this week to flush and no steering(locked up). Tried local dealer and they say you can’t get just the bleeder, it comes with the Cylinder aka $350 plus. Internet pretty much convinced me on that too. Also put half a bottle of seastar fluid in and steering turns easy in one direction but won’t turn in the other without some effort? Not enough fluid? Leaking out so why waste more. Any suggestions welcome. Gonna call all the dealers in Charleston and Beaufort. Maybe got a salvaged one. The turning one way and not the other has got me a bit concerned however. Thanks for any advice.
You may just need the seals for the bleeders. Use your model# + seal kit and do a google search. You can get a complete kit for $20 or $30 or you may be able to find just the seals for the bleeders for a few bucks.

You need to find another dealer. Go to http://www.teleflexmarine.com/products/hydraullic-new/fittings-new/ for part numbers. I got several used ones for an older cylinder from BoatStoreUSA.com; tech support people at both places were very helpful … 
bay star series is different than sea star. The bay star parts are expensive, and many of them are no longer available.I’ve rebuilt several of them and wasn’t too happy about the quality of the cylinder. If its been used in slat, it may take more time to rebuild than its worth, If you have the coin, upgrade to a sea star(or U flex), you’ll be much happier in the long run. If you have the plastic helm(bay star), go ahead and upgrade the whole system to sea star or U-flex
