BB 10/8

Took my Grandson and neighbor to Bulls Bay Wednesday. Fished north end. Bad day. Wind was up. Not the 5 - 6 that it was forecast. We worked the outgoing tide. So water was high. 7+ feet. So with the wind, deep water and fast current, it was hard to hit bait consistently. Also Flipper and friends came by to help out. Ended up with 1/3 of cooler of nice shrimp.

The results:

The conditions:

Retired - always broke – but better than working!!!

I was out there as well, slow on the outgoing, couple quarts. When the tide changed shrimp got thick but conditions were too much for a bass tracker.Hated to leave with shrimp popping everywhere but the wind had the bay white capping and it was not safe to be out there.

Red legs means they are running or trying to hold on. Finding slower current in BB can be tough. If we see a swift swirl or clear water behind the boat when making patties, I am out and pull up and look elsewhere. Got the cooler last weekend with wind - this weekend with tide and current…ah mother and her nature.

It is like Christmas the night before shrimping!
