We are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful city and surrounding environment. It pains me to see how some people treat it though. I’m sure everyone on this site plays by the rules, so i know i’m preaching to the choir anyhow, just wanted to voice my concerns.
Today, i saw somebody poach two ten inch or so black drums, and also cut the tail off an undesired species and throw it back. All i can say is the karma is a %#*£! when it comes back around to you.
Instead of complaining on the Internet speak up to the people doing this when you see it, and call operation game thief. Doesn’t do any of us any good to not speak up and then come on the Internet and then decide to finally say something when you’re behind a computer screen.
I called dnr, the offender left about 15 minutes before the officer arrived. I didnt really feel like confronting the guy. Dnr took exceptionally long to get there in my opinion, but hey what can you do, they are probably understaffed.
True, we, everyone, should be appreciative of the where we live, and treat things as if we all owned a part of it. I hate to see others disrespect the outdoors, wildlife and etc. We are really blessed to have these resources in our backyard and should respect, love and enjoy it for us and many who follow.
Amen. I don’t like people who throw thier cig butts in the water. They are always offended and say what is one butt going to do. My reply is yours plus 40million more people like you!

one nation under God,
we will be a nation gone under.” - Ronald Reagan
I don’t understand people like that at all. Being only 20 years old, a lot of kids my age are known to be the ones doing a lot of things like this, but I do everything I can to be as respectful of the fish and the waters as I can. I’ve seen people on lake Murray take and put several undersized largemouth in a grocery bag and hide them before they pull up to the ramp in case the game warden checks them. Stuff like that burns me up
