Beach seine for shrimp?

I saw a video of some guys seining on the beach on Jekyll Island and they were doing pretty good. Does anyone do that here?

I will say that a couple of years ago stickman and I were looking for menhaden front beach Morris Island, near the South Jetty and the shrimp were busting in the surf zone in 5’ of water…I had never seen that before…

I’m guessing if you pick the right time of year you could do pretty good.

I went with a couple of friends to seine some hard bottom creeks a few years ago. We filled a cooler in about an hour on a falling tide. That was early August, a few weeks before bait season.

I’ve heard of people catching row shrimp in the surf tihs time of the year at Fripp! Should work at the right time any were along the south coast! Cast nets could work to! Good luck
