Beaufort/Frogmore stew

Has anyone ever tired adding Stone crab claws? Every time I’ve had them they were served cold. Just thinking about adding a different treat to it, but I wondered if reheating them would ruin the flavor or consistency since they’re served cold in a restaurants. Maybe put them in with the shrimp?

What about snow or king crab legs? Thanks in advance.

Sure it would work, but the luxury of serving shrimp boil is you don’t need much for utensils, stoneys will make you break out pliers or nutcrackers.

Very true and a good point, but for a price like a stone crab IMO it’s worth some effort. Maybe I like them more than most IDK.

You gonna talk or FISH!

I Saw that in Bonzos Bargains that crab legs were at Bilo for 5 dollars a pound, cant beat that. Stone crab is wonderful, but very expensive unless you get a deal ,and for me simply steamed with butter is the way to go, no need to cover up that wonderful crab with some sort of boil, I would cook separately, but its up to you. Sounds delicious.
