Beaufort next week

Hey guys,
I’ve been fishing Beaufort a lot more lately as both of my sisters live there now, been doing really good with the typical inshore species. We are going to try for a tarpon next week, would appreciate any advice if anyone has experience there that they’d be willing to share. Planning on hitting the BR bridge as option 1. I’ve heard about the “burnt tressle”, is that further upriver from the BR bridge? Beyond those two spots, I’m looking at some sandbars in Port Royal (based on google maps) that look like they’d be worth a shot.
I plan on fishing/scouting that area a lot more over the years, any general information would be helpful, not looking for secret spots.

Thanks!

PF,

I have never fished for Tarpon, and only fished Broad River bridge earlier in year for Cobia.

I have seen a few roll, and a couple smash bait where Bft River and Broad come together while fishing for Reds and Trout, as well as the mouth of Station Creek.

No kidding, one crashed chasing something about 20’ from boat at mouth of Station Creek that made my son and I duck for a moment, lol.

I’m sure they are around, but that’s all I have.

Good luck, sir
NN
