Beaufort Weather Website

My postings here are sparse but I read this site every day! I am a 59 year old Beaufort native and love anything outdoors. It’s too cold to go outside so I have created a onestop weather website http://www.waynefreeman.net/ where we can go to get all the information needed for a trip outdoors. The “live area” is a weather station in my home on Distant Island Creek. Take a look around the site and let me know what we can change/add/improve. Most of this data is free public info from other sites. Just keep in mind this is a free site run by a hobbyist.

Nice, Wayne. Is that a CMS package you are running that page on?

It is not our cause to perish in the defense of Lady Liberty, but to bring that eternal sleep unto those tyrants who would pursue her demise.

very nice work. i’ll add it to my favorites.

You may want to move this to the discussion page or get the nice report wrath. Noaa needs to put you to work, very easy to navigate.

Wayne, what a great job on your site! I want to thank you for the one stop shopping, you can see you have put a lot heart into this site. I do believe anyone who spends any time on the computer looking over the “weather condition” to formulite a plan to fish, your site will assist them. Thank. Tight Lines Kevin

Jim, It is just a template site from here http://saratoga-weather.org/template/index.php. My weather station is a Peet Bros and feeds serial data to my PC. All I had to do was purchase a domain name and server. I am not a computer expert and would be ashamed to admit how long it took to get everything up and running! But it’s too darn cold to go fishing anyway.

Nice! Easy to navigate. Another site to add to the top of my list. Thanks! :sunglasses:

Being superstitious is bad luck.

Thanks, It sure is handy having one more page to check out the liars before we all run offshore. Never fails when they are calling 1-2’s with 8 seconds it is pretty normal for 3-4 with 2 seconds. Oh Well all we can do is try. Thanks Again

How do i get the tide data? I selected “Marine” > “Tides”, selected Charleston, but never saw a place to put date and time even after scrolling to the bottom of the page.
