Got a call on Saturday afternoon while romping around Morris Island to be at the dock at 5 AM the next morning. Kristina and I arrive at the dock about 4:30 to fish with Bill, Luther and Ken for her first offshore trip ever. We head out yonder and after a while put the lines in at 165 and start dragging around in 200ish then out to 350 and back. It turned out to be a slow day with not a lot of action. Picked up a double on wahoo and two dolphin. One of the dolphin had a mate and they came busting straight across the spread but I guess she had second thoughts and wouldn’t follow him home for dinner. Had a few more knockdowns but they all had commitment issues and didn’t connect. I’ve had slower days and I’ve had days with a lot more action but Kristina got her first offshore fish ever and (**()it, that was a beautiful ocean! Couldn’t have asked for better weather or a nicer ride.
