Beautiful Day 9 June

Left out of Shem Creek around 5am. The harbor and jetties were a little crappy, but once we cleared those it was beautiful sailing from there. Headed to the Edisto Bouy and put lines in by 7am. First small slinger in the boat by 715. Had 2 nice gaffers in the boat by 9. Picked up some other small tuna and dolphin along the way. Pretty much stayed in 120 to 130ft of water all day. Then the big boy came by and lets just say he gave up way to easy. Nice big gaffer in the boat. Soon after that the Rocket showed his face as well. Put a nice 50lb wahoo in the boat. Soon after a nice big cow came by hungry. She hit all five lines we had out and took the last one. Ended the day with 10 dolphin, 5 tuna and 1 wahoo. But to top it all off, watched my son with a busted shoulder put his first tuna, and 3 dolphin in the boat was the highlight. He has the fever now and is ready to go again.

were the tuna blackfin?

Yes, they were.
