Beautiful day offshore 5-2-18

Run south from Charleston on a 2ft sea at 30 (to save a little gas) in an expected trip out to 1400’ at the north edge of a 76-72 break turning east. https://marine.rutgers.edu/cool/sat_data/show/?file=../../regions/georgia/sst/noaa/2018/img/180501.121.0951.n19.jpg Crossed a good weed line at 220ft and stopped to give it a try even though I had the expectation of finding mostly peanuts. We never left! By 9AM we had 10 good fish in the boat. One greedy SOB ate 2 baits. Fishing slowed down as other boats began to show up. We headed home at noon out of bait, but feelin good with 19 in the boat.
