been doing pretty well inshore lately

I have not posted a report in quite some time so i am going to catch up on the past three trips in one post. The past weeks have been really productive for me on our beautiful waters here in the Charleston area. Been fishing up around IOP, mt p ,around JI and folly and have been lucky enough to get some fishing time in with my dad and the unusual suspect on the water, my mom. Since i have been catching good numbers and good sized fish i figured it would be a good time for my mom to go after her first red drum since they were tailing and i knew she would stay interested. I am not worried about pops getting bored because he is a fisherman. We will fish all day together, not catch anything, and still not be bored. Anyway, we have been catching tailing fish, fish on docks, fish cruising the grass line and fish on oyster bars. Most fish lately have been caught on live shrimp but have also caught fish on top water, jigs, cut bait, trout tricks and mud minnows. Have been catching a wide variety of fish too including: red fish, trout, flounder, mangrove snapper (4), gag grouper (1), lady fish, lizard fish(1)in hobcaw creek, puffer fish and various bait fish. Today, dad and i broke off a bunch of big reds before we figured out that our 20 lb p line flouro clear leader was obviously a defective spool. I finally took a three foot piece off the spool and wrapped it around both hands and gave a sight pull and it broke. switched to ande 20 and problem solved. Anyway, here are a few photos.i wish i would have taken more pics of the bigger trout. biggest was only 18 inches or so though. Also, i think i post the pic of the grey snapper but i did catch another one today about a 1/4 mile from where i caught this one!My little brother got in town today and he and my dad are going with me. hope i can get us on some fish !

Pretty fish and congrats on getting mom on the fish. I’m sure she was excited!

Good luck with the bro in town.

Way to get it done - this cooler weather should keep them active.

Awesome! You got pretty creative with the background blur!

Talk about operational security…I can’t tell those spots…
Great fish and report though!!!

Nice fish…I’d post some pics too if I could do cool background alterations like that.

thanks guys. mom told dad she was going to start going fishing w him every time he went and he said,“no hell your not either”. Of course, they were both joking more than anything but it was funny. My back ground blur takes me alot of time.i try to make the photos look as natural as possible and still not give away the spots i have worked so hard to find!
