Thanks. This is one of those annual guys trip and it just gets better every year. Probably the best part of this trip was watching two 9-year old boys playing with the fire, they just could not stay away from it. Took me back to when I was that age.
I was fishing the Chattooga above Burrells Ford. Last year I fished the East Fork from the fish hatchery down to Burrells Ford but I had to be at camp by 2pm or they were coming to look for me, something about being out of shape and old, so I had to fish it quickly. I made notes on a few spots I wanted to fish again and hiked upstream this year. It was worth every step.
Simon, be down next week to catch those tides, looking to get my fix of tailers and docklights.

Yes…it’s “over” until I have to start working on extensions. We walk in with oil and 10lbs of potatoes. No fish, no eat. Motivates you to fish hard. Eight years and we’ve never gone through dinner eating just the potatoes. I will say this…none of the other guys fly fish and it amazes me that over the years, I always bring in trout, only trout and bigger trout than any of them. I am SURE it is just luck but I will take it.
I saw something about you and a flying fish somewhere down South?
