Brand new to the sport with no experience, I am really interested and am curious about what basic gear I need to start fishing off a kayak. I am looking to get a 12’ yak so i can go fresh and saltwater.
side note: anyone have a cheap used fishing yak 12’ they are selling?
You should look into getting the Hobie Pro Angler You will not regret it.

Hobie PA is nice but he said cheap. I would start searching craigslist for a used kayak. As for gear, a good start is a PFD, a paddle and a fishing rod. Keep it simple to start and add things as you find a need for them.
