I am new to kayak fishing. I was told that bulls bay and copahee are ideal places for kayak fishing. When should i launch in the perspective of tides? should it be at high tide crossing over to a falling tide? also how low does the water get at low tide?

Goin yard,

The ideal tide sort of depends. Low tide coming in is generally a good time to fish. Anyway, it’s always good to see the area that you are fishing when tide is dead low. Make a mental note of oyster rocks and target them when the tide is high.

Good luck.

If you go to Copahee at low, plan to stay out until 2 hours into incoming. Otherwise you’re doin the Copahee Stomp

If you are new to kayaking I would maybe save those to spots to go out when you have someone with you , it can greatly increase the learning curve in those areas and keep you out of the mud and any other trouble. Maybe get your feet wet at a put in that has water at low tide, low boat traffic and get comfortable with the kayak and your fishing setup.
