I have a 1992 yamaha 200hp outboard that has had a slightly bent prop shaft since I’ve had it. Its never been a problem but obviously now the vibration has worn the seals for the gear case and I’m losing all my gear lube. I would assume a quick fix would be just replace the seals but then I’ll be in this position again once they wear out. The cheapest I can find a prop shaft for is about $230. Does anyone know of an old foot or motor that might have a prop shaft that would replace mine? Thanks.
reel,If it isn’t bent too bad I may be able to straighten it in my shop or if you are near a good machine shop they may be able to straighten it for you.
