Sounds like a setup, especially with a name of “Lawman”!! You better start getting your alibi together.

That was us, yeah. Shot a skeet shoot Saturday morning and had to freshen up the skills. Gnats ran us off very quickly though, they were TERRIBLE.
Got to test the stick it anchor in it’s slot on the platform, too. Wind was honking into the port corner of the transom when beached, and tide was running that direction as well, flooding. I beached it and stuck the pin in the hole and it never moved. When it was time I’d drag it up a bit and stick the pin again. It worked marvelously well.

Nothing illegal about it according to DNR, we’ve been doing it for 20 years or so all over the place. As long as you’re not near a house or shooting towards people, it’s all good.

Saw the boat, never saw a drone?
Did you get any drone shots of the boat?
It’s cool to shoot, just be careful and don’t leave a mess!
Thanks!

Well, it apparently was the anti-siphon valve fitting in the tank. Replaced it with a regular fitting and good to go. Now to play with jackplate and motor height and get her dialed in and finally decide if I need to re-prop after adding this weight to her…
Also, today, the boat got named officially. All of the decals were done with Avery SC900 vinyl, which has a crazy warranty in the sun believe it or not…it all turned out awesome too.
Did black letters on the green hull, they do contrast a lot more than I expected, and I’m glad for that, but DADGUM does the red registration sticker look out of place! The sticker guy actually went out to Limehouse today to run the boat with me, and he brought along his crazy good camera…so lots of pics coming soon.
Thanks for all of the kind words, encouragement, and the like…it’s appreciated. I’m glad to finally be done, but what will I work on next?

You’re gonna scratch her up carrying all that skeet equipment in her. I assume you have foam lined cases that you put all that stuff in before it goes in the boat?!?!?!?

I’m blessed beyond belief. I got to build my dream boat on a hull that means a lot to me and even means a lot to the history of boating in Charleston. It’s not quite perfect…but it’s close. Thanks to every one of you and your input and criticism. Being able to bounce ideas and crazy thoughts against a hive of people smarter than myself made it what it is…now it’s time to make it bloody.
If you see me on the water, please say hey, and tell me where to find a fish! I need all the help I can get, no excuses now!

I just read through all 15 pages of this thread (haven’t been following it) and WOW!!! The narrative was such that I could see this boat go from concept to fish catching machine. I love the anticipation, perseverance, determination, highs, lows, and I could hear the relief once the finished product hit the water. Great story and beautiful boat. Thanks for sharing with all of us and congratulations. Sweet ride!!
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

And many more to come I’m sure!
I’ve got the seat base made…need to do the backrest and then I can carry them to upholstery. After that it’s just cleaning up some wiring and getting her bloody! Can’t wait for time to change so I can get some more time to fish.
