Newer member here. Love the info on this site. Wind was up today so I stuck to Beresford creek in hopes of finding something while remaining upright. Tried cuts, docks and bends before I found fish. They were liking mud minnows on 1/4 oz jig in 6’ of 55.8 degree water off two docks flanked by oysters. I pinned in place to stop fighting the breeze. Ended up catching 17 nice slot reds, some with that bright blue tail, 1 trout and a penn rod/reel combo. Hooked that rod right though an eyelet. Owner won’t want that crusty thing back. Nice day on the water with my furry sidekick. Beats cutting holes in the ice to catch winter fish back in MT.
Welcome, JGriz. I lived outside Missoula for a few years on the big Blackfoot. Sounds like you got some of the salt water fishing figured out, so congrats to you. Enjoy this site and Charleston in general.
Many go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.
I’ve been meaning to go to Beresford Creek and this made me wanna go there next time in the yak. I think I never went before because I couldn’t find out where I could put in, like a public place. Does anyone know where I can put my kayak into Beresford creek and can park?
