Not a bait caster myself but…
Light House Point, FL: Custom Rod & Reel (owner?) Tom Greene has sold me plenty of quality equipment and when my sons were young he demonstrated his bait casting skill. Over half way across his store he repeatedly tossed a rubber weight into the mouth of a good size fish mount hanging on a wall. The mount had been hit many times no doubt but he had us wide-eyed after 3 in a row went into it’s mouth.
Mr Greene wore a well deserved smile. Neither of my sons took his offer to try.
Spinning rods may do the same but I’ll never reach that level with one.
With a little practice you could be flipping and pitching like a pro!
