What’s biting and where?
Trolling good? Bottom fishing? How far out?
Weather will be cooler, shrimp will be running thick, fishing will be on fire at the jetties, artificial reefs nearshore, and live bottom off shore. Bottom fishing will be hot 30 to 60 miles. Many fishermen will be focussing on shrimping, so fishing pressure should be less.

More than shrimpers will be the deer hunters. End of September through end of October can be good trolling also. Wahoo, Sails, a few dolphin, Blackfin, etc. My favorite time of the year.
