Rust stains by a bottle of Magic @ Royall Hardware, put some in a spray bottle, spray it on wait, wipe it off. Works on your water stains from the well just as easy.

I used straight muriatic acid to get all the rust stains off the old whaler. Actually took about 2-3 times to get it off, but they are gone 100%. Those products listed above have some concentration of various muriatic and oxyalic acid. I just decided to go straight the source and use those acids instead of spending money on name brands. The best regular cleaner I found for non skid, blood, grime, etc. is a mixture of bleach, water, and laundry detergent. Also known as Clorox clean up with bleach spray. Only it costs about .50 to make up not $5.

I have had excellent results with a product called On and Off. Put it on with a long handled brush and spray it with the water hose and the rust stains rinse off. No scrubbing needed but be careful and wear gloves and safety glasses.

Assuming granular detergent? Equal parts?

No, liquid. Make sure it isn’t dish soap as some of it has ammonia. About a tablespoon of liquid detergent. 1 cup of bleach, and then the rest of the spray bottle filled with water. I bought some commercial grade spray bottles from sams for $5 for 8 and it came with a really cool foaming spray head. I used that for the bleach cleaner to get some foaming action.
